Default Looking for Gaming Headset

Hey, so I'm currently trying to find a gaming headset and I've done a lot of looking, but I'm still a bit unsure about what is good and what is bad. I am no audiophile, but I would like a solid headset/pair of headphones that will last be for a while. I also don't care much about brand if they good quality and meet my needs.

-removable mic w/ boom (doesn't have to detach, but able to hide it and not look silly wearing them in public)
-built in battery
-PS3 compatible (and likely PS4 as well)
-NO 2.4ghz, unless 5ghz is included as well (if not 100% bluetooth)

3.5mm or 2.5mm audio in directly on the headset (as to make them double as standard headphones)
Surround Sound (preferably Dolby 7.1 or 5.1)
Usable while charging
PC Compatible (both chat and in-game audio)

My "MUST HAVES" are not too hard to meet but the problem I am having is with the "audio input" with most that I find. I have plans of using this for a PS3 (and later PS4), but I cannot always determine if in-game audio is actually sent to the headset. To my knowledge, nothing aside from maybe a PC can send the actual in-game audio to a headset without some sort of wireless receiver (usually 2.4ghz or 5ghz). Currently the best fit I've found are roughly these (Turtle Beach PX4).

and there are other turtle beach headsets that are pretty much the same but a bit more premium (like 7.1 instead of 5.1 surround sound, additional optical inputs, and so on)

So what would you guys recommend I consider? Price is semi important (I'm not going to pay extra for more premium than I need), but don't worry about it; I just want a benchmark to go off. Also, random question, can you get surround sound out of standard RCA (red & white) cables or must you resort to an optical cable?

Well for the price PX4's are going to be your best bet since you want wireless. I was going to recommend the PX22's but those are wired but do work with every console.

I am unsure if the mic can be removed, but you can just move it up and out of the way. I personally wouldn't be using these outside of my home anyways. But i see you are wanting to wear them in public. I will have to check the one's we have at work (Best Buy)to see if they are detachable. You might want to go to your local Best Buy to see if they have the Turtle Beach Headphone display. That way you can try them out.

Another suggestion is Sony Pulse wireless headset. Only set back is it's virtual 7.1

If you want to go premium i would suggest the Astro's A5o's. They will be the last head set you would ever need. Since they work on everything.

RCA is only Left and Right audio. So i am pretty sure you will need a optical cable for 7.1. But im not 100%
