Question 3DS XL Battery

I have launch 3DS XL and the battery seems to last roughly 3hrs. It seems to have to be charged more frequent then my Zelda XL. I was wondering if anyone knows a good place that carries a good battery replacement? Also will it void the Nintendo warranty if i change it?

What is weird is i made sure to properly charge my battery (no short cycling). Kept in a comfortable climate and was of average use.

batteries will decline in performance over time. nothing you can do about it.
there are some replacement bats on ebay and such but mostly from china or so and I can't tell if they are worth anything.

Your warranty will expire the moment you open your 3DS. so do it at own risk. some places that fixes videogame hardware give you a in-house warranty but that isn't worth much.

Well i figure Nintendo only gives a 1 year warranty anyways. The battery is pretty crappy then IMO DS lite has a longer battery life. And its at least 5 yrs old.

You can buy an extended battery that replaces the stock battery from Mugen Power.

They have extended batteries for the 3DS/3DSXL/2DS (seperate models), which last roughly 2-3 times longer than the stock battery does.

If your system was simply a regular sized 3DS, I'd have told you to buy the Nyko Power Pak, which is an extended battery that also more than doubles the battery life, and it is much cheaper, being only 10$ now at Gamestop, and Best Buy.

For anyone else looking at this, if you buy the Nyko Power Pak, only buy the battery, do not purchase the one that comes with the charging base. ONLY CHARGER THE SYSTEM THROUGH THE ORIGINAL CHARGER PORT, do not use the base that comes with it.

I have seen the mugen. I am not willing to pay $100 for a battery extender. But thank you for the suggestion

I want the actual battery that you can put under the back plate. I just need to find the right size and mAh.
