Yeah, the middle ages were some f****d up times!

But I feel where you are coming from. I really like Japanese games, but sometimes the cultural difference is just too clear. From what I understand the age of concent is much lower in Japan than in th erest of the world. Because of that 'kids' in Japanese games a sometimes positioned in more adult roles.
I have to admit, that makes me feel uncomfortable at times.

As for marrying a cousin, I'm not quite sure how that works. I know in history it was more common to marry a cousin, or sometimes direct siblings. The are even people in Holland nowadays who marry a cousin. There is no law against it. However, you may get special children if hou catch my thrift.
