Unhappy Pedometer Guilt?

As a warning, I have pretty severe OCD.
I remember when I used to shake the 3DS and change the date to get play coins, then I reset it to factory settings. Sometimes when putting down the 3DS it counts as a step, then I feel like I'm somehow cheating the system. Does anybody else have this problem/anxiety?

Thanks for reading this.

The step counter is pretty inaccurate. Sometimes it doesn't count steps, and sometimes it counts shakes that aren't steps. I have OCD too, but I don't think this is something to stress about.

Unless you're abusing the pedometer on Wii Fit U or using the 3DS as an aid to keep track of your fitness, which is obviously only going to screw *you* over, you could shake the 3DS all day to get coins and it wouldn't mean a thing.

In the end the only difference is time and whether you have enough coins to play the games or not.

I've said this before to people who think shaking the system for play coins is somehow "robbing yourself of the pleasure of streetpasses"?, it makes no sense to call it cheating when it doesn't provide any unusual or unfair advantages. All the work and skills it takes to complete the streetpass games are still required.

You can either spend a few days playing Mii Force and getting good at it, or a few YEARS waiting for enough passes to come through to completely beat it.
Fantastic, na magic!
