Still like my Yoshi themed XL better so wont be getting this one. This one to me looks like someone just got a red XL & plastered one of these skins on it.

Every limited edition 3DS has been like that... A regular color with something about the game on it.

As for this one, I think it looks cool. Though I'm not ever going to buy a second 3DS unless the one I have breaks

Actually not all limited editions are regular colors. The Yoshi 3DS XL is green & white. But as far as i'm aware a green & white 3DS XL has never been released & sold as a regular 3DS XL color.

I'm going to need a new XL soon, I think. It's gotten a lot of use and getting long in the tooth. The circle pad came off but I Krazy Glued it back on. A piece of black plastic broke off the rear of the right hinge and I have to hold it in place while closing it or it doesn't seat properly.

It would really be nice if Nintendo released a new version (longer-lasting battery, better cameras, or something). My original launch-day 3DS was starting to develop backlight problems right when they announced the XL so I held off replacing it until the XL was released and it was a big upgrade. Getting another XL will simply be a 1:1 replacement.

Kind of disappointed that its another upside down image. Not to mention i am not digging the color scheme but what ever floats your boat.

For a game of this caliber, one would expect this limited edition XL to be, err - better than this design. I saw this hyper linked in an article saying something like : Limited edition 3dsXL announced for Europe - clicked the link and __ first impression.. I was underwhelmed to say the least, but yeah - float on ^.^/[]

It looks like Japan is also getting a special edition SSB XL, only the game is supposedly not included with the system. Personally, I'm enjoying this design without the text more than Europe's design with the text. The SSB logo faded in the background is nice and simple. A little classier.



The article that mentioned the Japan XL release also introduced Japan's Monster Hunter 4 special edition XL.
