I figure this is worth a thread if only just to get the hype going. Capcom uploaded the opening for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate/G. You can check it out below:


The game is launching on October 11th in Japan and early 2015 in Not-Japan. Don't forget that there's a limited edition up for preorder. It's got a bunch of neat stuff and is super limited though so you might want to get to it ASAP, muchachos.

I think I'm gonna stick with hammer as my main weapon again this time. Might try out the insect staff and charge axe as secondary weapons though, especially if there aren't that many interesting hammers like in MH3U.

Yea it does look pretty cool. I think it'll probably be overused though.

Gotta go with LS again. I'll definitely try out the bug staff though.

I'm not a veteran really, only played some 20ish hours on the PSP, so I'm not sure about my weapon of choice. Though I enjoyed using long swords, bows and the good old shield & sword. I'll have to try the many different weapons in this one to decide!

I'm glad that I can distract myself with smash, and oras before this comes out. I've been playing the MH series since middle school, so I'm very well acquainted. And finally a fully integrated online mode for a handheld MH title!!! I really want to use the glaive too. I've been wanting them to put in a staff like weapon since monster hunter freedom.

I'll probably go with the insect staff or my old main the switch axe. When I played it at SDCC I noticed they changed a lot of combos so I might have to try other weapons.
