3DS firmware update 9.0.0-20 is now available.

- Users can now use themes to customize the design and sounds of the HOME Menu
- Five themes are pre-installed and additional themes can be purchased from the Theme Shop
- Themes can be changed by using settings located within the HOME Menu settings
- A feature has been added that allows users to capture screenshots of their HOME Menu
- The Nintendo eShop Title Information page has been updated to provide easier access to any available videos, demos, user reviews, and other information
- Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience

Having menu themes is cool and all, but I honestly don't really fancy any of the current ones. I think I'll stick to the basic pink preinstalled one for now.

I also found a video that shows how all the themes look and sound if anyone cares.

Sticking with the blue one for now. The other themes (other than Zelda) just don't interest me. There should be a few free ones.

I hope we get a Majora's Mask theme if we get a Majora's Mask 3DS port.

I was interested in the Mario wood/stamp ones just for the music alone. But for some reason the music plays at a lower pitch than the original, which is kinda off putting for me. I'll probably get the Link Between Worlds one, but that might change depending on what they come out with in the future. Maybe there could be Club Nintendo exclusive themes based on the games you register?

this im hoping...free custom themes to registered games.

im also sticking to the basic colors, i feel like the ones on sale
are too pricey you could already get a game for $0.99-$1.99

What would be nice is if they released an app where you could make your own custom 3DS themes. I don't understand why they've put the print screen button on, if everyone is just going to have the same themes anyway? lol.

But yeah, they're a nice addition. I won't post any pictures of my themes though because, well, there's a thread for that, and you've all seen them all by now anyway.

I'm sticking with "no theme" (though I think of it as "classic") but if I get a download code as a promotion or with a game purchase I might switch.
