Cool Introduction and 3ds problem

Hello! My name is john and I've been a Nintendo fan since I could hold a controller!

My problem is with my 3DS. It's actually my brothers, but I used the SD card it came with for other uses. So when he gave the 3ds to me, I tried to place the SD card back in to use it, but it was write protected? It's unlocked tho. So then I put it in a computer and formatted the card (set to default settings), and it's still write protected? Is this a SD card problem? Could it be broke? Or is it th 3ds? My wii and pc can read it (tell its in there) but the 3ds refuses to let me use it bc it's write protected? Can you help?

What type of SD card is it? The Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS systems are compatible with SD cards up to 2GB in size, and SDHC cards of 4GB and larger. All other SD Card types are not considered compatible.

It might just be a compatibility issue.

It's the standard 2G SD card it comes with. I formatted it countless times too. I'm thinking that it's broke or something. And I'm glad to be a part of this!😃😃😃

Hmmm... that's really weird, you may need a new one.

Take a look at this video,it doesn't hurt to try this:

If this doesn't work you probably have to get a new one.

Your Card is probably an SDHC, because that text is directly from Nintendo.

The 3DS will support any SD Card as long as it is formatted correctly.

Format your SD card again, make sure you're using the FAT32 file system.
