Maybe I'm gonna to buy a defect 3ds. It only have 2 defects:
-Top display not working
-Broken part

Is this broken part the reason for not working top display?
I attached some pictures.

Added after 28 minutes:

Anyone knows if the 3ds and the 3ds xl have the same display flex cable?

I have a 3DS that's broken in the same way (Same model too, lol) and as you can see both of the screens still work:

So the hinge breaking doesn't mean the top screen won't work... Everything on mine works except for the R button because I tried to glue it back together. Lol.

As for the top screen not working, I don't have a clue. Could be the flex cables or loose connections on them, like you said. As it's clearly been dropped.

Well I think it's definitely the flex cable then. Any Ressource I can buy it? (ebay 20?!!! Also new display cost the same lol) or maybe someone got one for me to remember it's a 3ds XL I don't know if it have the same cable as his smaller brother.

@Joba any chance of fixing the broken part without buying a new case? U tries some things?

I dunno if the crack could be fixed, especially since you seem to be missing the part that cracked off?

I tried to superglue it and it was only fine for a few tries of opening and closing. Buuuuuut I haven't really tried to fix it seriously.

Unless you want to glue it so that it's always open and the hinge doesn't close it anymore. But even then the R button will probably stop working.

Before you buy anything, you should probably check the flex cable connections, they might just be loose?

50 is a little too much in my opinion if you don't know you can fix it for sure.
