I have a 3DS that's broken in the same way (Same model too, lol) and as you can see both of the screens still work:
![]() So the hinge breaking doesn't mean the top screen won't work... Everything on mine works except for the R button because I tried to glue it back together. Lol. As for the top screen not working, I don't have a clue. Could be the flex cables or loose connections on them, like you said. As it's clearly been dropped.

Well I think it's definitely the flex cable then. Any Ressource I can buy it? (ebay 20?!!! Also new display cost the same lol) or maybe someone got one for me
![]() Added after 4 minutes: @Joba any chance of fixing the broken part without buying a new case? U tries some things? Last edited by Maxxxel; 12-03-2014 at 02:39 PM. |

I dunno if the crack could be fixed, especially since you seem to be missing the part that cracked off?
I tried to superglue it and it was only fine for a few tries of opening and closing. Buuuuuut I haven't really tried to fix it seriously. Unless you want to glue it so that it's always open and the hinge doesn't close it anymore. But even then the R button will probably stop working. --- http://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/1...lacement+guide Before you buy anything, you should probably check the flex cable connections, they might just be loose?
