I can't think of any reason NOT to get the New 3DS. It offers a better experience overall from what I've read. It's always best to get more recent hardware just to be more future-proof in my opinion.

It is region locked as well. It's already released in Australia though so if you live in the PAL region you can import one from there. If you are from the USA or any area outside the PAL region I'd say you either settle with an original 3DS/XL or wait for the New 3DS to be released there. Otherwise you'll have to import all your games, which I assume wouldn't be convenient.

Wow, that much for a New 3DS?! :O Then you can either wait or get one of the current models. Nintendo has said the New 3DS will be released in EU and US next year but I don't think there's any info as to exactly when.

If truly all you play is Pokemon, then there's no point in New 3DS since Pokemon has no New 3DS exclusive features.

Anyways if you were to buy one: http://www.play-asia.com/paOScore/19...5-new+3ds.html

hmmmmmmmmm...........because im tight on money...F**k it i'm useing the old one, i see no point in getting the new one unless all the new games will only play on the NEW 3DS. its sort of like with the Wii-U i have no buisness with it unless theirs a game a really REALLY want

Why would I get it? The more people get it, the more they're going to want to replace the 3DS all together with the new 3DS

I'm really excited actually for the new one. I wanted to upgrade to an XL, but never saw one I was in love with until the NES one, but then they went and announced a whole new 3DS with c-stick nub thingy and the stylus isn't going to be on the top anymore and - best part - FACE PLATES! Plus, that super cute commercial for them.

Anyway, I am holding out for a new 3DS because I'm ready for a change (current 3DS is 4 years old, I have had my time with it) I'm really pumped to see how it runs and handles and I can't wait for face plates <3

Kind of blows that you can't get face plates for the XL version, but maybe I"m just destined to have the small one ^-^

WISH I LIVED IN AUSTRALIA THOUGH CAUSE THAT IS SOME SERIOUS GARBAGE!!!

Why is that a bad thing? I can't think of a reason NOT to upgrade to one. The New 3DS is better in every way and being more powerful, it offers more enhanced games. Who wouldn't say no to that?
