Default Formatting system memory question.

I recently got the super smash bros 3DS XL for a Christmas gift and decided to try it out.

I want to 'reset' the system so that it'll run through the set up menus. I'm guessing the only way to do this is through 'Format system memory'.

Here's the question, if I remove the SD card that smash bros is installed on then format the memory will i be able to put the memory card back into the console and still be able to play smash bros?

All your digital games are stored remotely on your system's eShop account. You can do whatever you like to your SD card and you will never lose the games.

However, if you have an NNID linked to your system then format it, you will not be able to access your games until you relink that NNID and ONLY that NNID.
Fantastic, na magic!
