Default Switched back to OG 3DS

I was using the 3DS XL for about a year. During the holidays I pulled out my cobalt blue Luigi's Mansion OG 3DS. Curiosity got the best of me and I did a system transfer. Well I was surprised that I actually like using the OG 3DS more! It's just so compact and the smaller screen does look more clear and crisp than the XL. Also the cobalt blue is just gorgeous. Can't believe I had this system sitting on my shelf since last Christmas 2013. How many of the 3DS forum members use the OG system?

I do! Though I've never tried an XL. I just wanted a 3DS for smash mainly so I looked for the cheapest 3DS I could find and that certainly wasn't going to be an XL.

Is the XL not a much more comfortable feel? I've heard it's good for games like Smash where it's fast paced.

I have a New 3DS XL in midnight blue and a 2DS in transparent blue. I use them both and even though the 2DS is more crisp, I still prefer the larger XL screens.

OG 3DS makes both my hands and eyes hurt. So I could never go back.

I like the regular 3DS just fine but I gotta use an XL so my hands don't cramp up or even go numb.

I got the original on launch day in 2011 and then picked up an xl during a sale in 2013. I did the transfer to the xl and played it exclusively until summer 2014. I started using the original more then and since I have stuck with it more than the xl. The original is easier to take out with you and i could sneak in some game time at work with it.

If the smaller New 3DS was available in the US, I would have gotten one.....but, that Majora's Mask XL was hard to say no to...ended up preordering it, but if I had to make a choice, I may have gone with the smaller one and imported the MM faceplate.

My hands did cramp up a bit with Mario Kart 7, but I would take that as a sign to stop playing for a while. After playing Kid Icarus Uprising so much on the original, I could never get used to it on the XL. Arguments for both systems, I guess.

I like them both.
The 3DS is great for on the go, the 3DSXL is great for playing at home.
I feel the N3DS is a great compromise as it has 20% larger screens.

That's why whenever I'm getting the New 3ds, I'll go for the smaller one. I've been using the XL for a few years now and It's really nice! But the I miss the smaller/compact size of the normal 3DS...
