Default About region lock, eshop, nintendo credit and more....

Hi all. I will try to make this post short, and understandable.

A little info and background for you to understand my upcoming questions :-)

- I am from EU ( Slovakia, Slovak Republic )
- My country doesnt support nintendo eshop.
- I bought the Zelda gold 3DSXL limited.
- Couldnt redeem ALBW because my country does not support Nintendo eshop so I had to register Czech Republic instead of Slovakia to get the game which comes with the console.

I want to buy Shovel Knight, and some other older Mega Man games from teh eshop. I was trying to figure out how to do that.

- We have Euros they have other currency. I cannot add funs because my credit card is not registered in their country.
- I was looking to buy funds with paypal .... can't.
- I found a some webpages where you can buy EU region Nintendo eshop cards with paypal where they send you the code and you can just add funds to your account. They sell only UK and German cards.
- I found out that even these cards are region locked and UK ( GBP ) , German ( ? ) card codes cannot be redeemed in Czech Republic eshop.

In addition : Some guys suggested that I change region and create a new account or something like that, but that means I would loose A Link Between Worlds download in my Nintendo, which I ofc want not.

Actually registering a UK account would not solve anything because even then I cannot add funds with my credit cards. The only exception is that I could buy eshop cards with paypal and then pray that these websites dont scam me.

So what option do I have here ?

The only one which comes to my mind is that I make a short trip to Czech Republic which is ( 500 km - 310 miles), exchange some Euros to their currency and buy some Czech eshop credit cards. Tried to order from them some cards, but they are not sending anywhere except their country.

The other frustration is that I cannot even use the promotion codes and other bonuses I get with every game I purchase in my general store. Seriously I could have so many points already... I am really considering to sell the whole stuff and just buy a Vita or something because the limitations here ARE HUGE !

Really would use some advice what options do I have...

Never used eShop cards, but if German eShop cards really don't work in other european countries (I know they're region-locked between continents, but countries too?!), then you might be royally effed.

The problem probably is that Czech Republic uses some weird currency and not euros? The cards don't work if they're not the same currency.

I've bought download *CODES* for games from the UK and they worked on my finnish 3DS, but sadly I don't think anyone sells download codes for Shovel Knight. Ask Yacht Club Games directly if they would sell you a download code for Shovel Knight? Lol

If you have not made a Nintendo Network ID, you can safely change regions without losing your game. Otherwise your only option would be to get a visa/mastercard debit card and add credit that way.

All the Nintendo eShops, except the American shop, are forgiving when it comes to a debit card's registered address.

I'm saying the registered address on debit cards often does not matter, the transaction will still succeed.

You could always buy a prepaid CC, no credit check and worldwide available!
