Question New 3DS is not working properly?

So I received my New 3DS Ambassador edition through the post the other day. I set it up great, but each time I turn it on after 2-5 minutes the buttons, touch screen and sliders stop working. The ZL, ZR, C-Stick and Power button still work through this but no response from anything else.

Sometimes it would return only to go away again. As you can pretty much guess I am annoyed at this, I've tried contacting Nintendo but there has been no response...does anyone else know a solution to this? Has something similar happened to a regular 3DS that you know? Or is anyone going through the same thing as me? I really need answers, I'm not ready to grieve for the loss ;(
Thank you!

How did you contact Nintendo and how long have you waited for a response?

The device should be under warranty so whatever problem you're having should be able to be fixed at little to no cost to you.

I tried by email, and granted it's only been 24 hours, so I guess I'm just being impatient.

If you want an immediate response, you can try to contact them by phone.

You probably will have to send it in for repairs but it shouldn't cost you hardly anything.

That's a real bummer. And it's quite odd too, as functionality sometimes returns.
My first reaction would be to open the unit but since it's really new I'd send it in as previously mentioned.
I've contacted Nintendo myself a few days ago and their email response has indeed been slow.
My guess that's because of all the questions they are getting about the N3DS. That delay should be of a temporary nature, usually thei are really fast in their reply.
