Hello everyone, I have problem and you guys may be my last hope at resolving this. So my 33ds XL has broken on one side of the hinge, the right side has snapped, now I was trying to think of a way to fix this issue without buying a new one or sending it in for repairs which is close to the cost of buying another one. Essentially, I need a hard shell case that is not two pieces you snap on your 3ds. I need one that is one complete piece that I can place my 3ds inside of and will act as the hinges. Essentially a glasses case that can hold a 3ds. It has to be able to take pressure off the left hinge and also act as a hinge for the right side. Ebay has cases like that but they are just two cases you can snap together, what I had in mind was a case that comes as one, top and bottom combined that you can just slide your 3ds into and it can hold my top screen in place. I'm looking for any information on where I can purchase a case like that if they even exist. The more sturdy and durable the better. My 3ds still works fine I just have to rest it up against something or it will just sag or close completely. I included a picture so you can see what i mean. Basically, I need a no nonsense hard shell case that is either one piece or if it's two pieces the hinges must lock into place firmly. I'm open to any and all suggestions on how to Fix this or if you know where I can find the case I'm looking for. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Perhaps you can order a seperate housing and replace the internals.
If that's too expensive it's very likely that there are clone housings for sale from china or whereever.
But from the look of those images you might have broken the chassis, but I'd have to open mine up to make sure. But I won't take mine apart nw.

Personaly I'd send it in if I have sentimental feelings for this unit. Otherwise, I'd go for a N3DS and transfer the system.

I think thats beyond repair or what a case will do...your best off getting a new one at this point, as much as that sucks :/
