Default In-Store transfer to New 3DS where old XL has 32GB (8GB used) MicroSD card?

Currently I have a Blue 3DS XL with a 32GB MicroSD card installed (via adaptor). The MicroSD card has 7.7GBs used by games and such.

I want to get a New 3DS XL, but if I can't sell my old one online for $150 (I'd buy the new 3DS and transfer once the purchase date is agreed on) I'll be trading it in for the $100 credit.

Problem is, I don't know how that will work. I know that some stores like EB games will do it, but I'm worried it would take a long time. Especially since I have 8GB to transfer and do NOT want to lose my game saves. Plus I want to keep my 32GB microSD card and transfer it to the NN3DSXL

Is this doable, or am I better off waiting for a buyer on Kijiji?

"If possible, purchase your New 3DS at full price, perform the system transfer at home, and then go back to GameStop to trade in your old 3DS towards your previous purchase.

Ask your local GameStop beforehand if they'll process it as a return and credit the promotional value towards re-purchasing the New 3DS. Many GameStop stores have indicated that this is totally sanctioned."

This is the route i'm doing my GS lets me do it last time when i upgraded from 3ds to XL and they said i could do it this time as well...Since EB is owned by GS you might be able to do it as well

If you're transferring a micro SD card, it's a case of simply moving it from the source system to the target system once the transfer is complete. Just like the original 3DS.
Fantastic, na magic!
