So I just got an original 3DS today, brand new. After I finished setup I checked the firmware and it was 2.0 something. I put one of my newer games in and it updated it to 8.1.0 something. But when I press L + R to launch the quick camera, the scan QR code square icon does not show up. Am I missing something here?
I've looked elsewhere online and it says that the scan QR functionality was included in version 3 when 3D video recording was enable. I can do the 3D video but no QR scan. Any help would be appreciated.
