Default System transfer dilemma!

Hi all, I've been a 3ds user for a few years now and bought a New 3dsxl lately to serve alongside my original for general multiplayer stuffs.

So, I got my n3dsxl with majoras mask peri stalled, played it, downloaded demos and all that jazz. Now I wanna transfer my old 3ds data onto the New3dsxl...... But won't my copy of M m be deleted? Was setting up a Nintendo I'd for the purpose of downloading game trials my big downfall here?

Hoping somebody can help out

It should be fine... I don't know exactly how the pre-installed games work, but they are tied to the system itself. I want to say, if you do a transfer, that it will still be there...

Here we go, Nintendo support "Pre-installed games, such as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, will be available to redownload from the Nintendo eShop on the target system after the system transfer has been completed. For more information about pre-installed games,"

"Pre-installed games are stored on the SDHC Card or microSDHC Card included with the system. This means that a portion of the available space will be taken up by the pre-installed game. If you choose to delete the content off the SDHC Card or microSDHC card, such as during a system transfer, the pre-installed game will be available for redownload from the target system's Nintendo eShop after the transfer has been completed."

So, that means your Majora's Mask will be intact.

Ok, thanks very much for the info, I should've been clearer above - I found above data but freaked when going to transfer I got a warning about having linked a Nintendo network acc and read about replacing them and also the fact that my old 3ds is of course, SD and new is micro so I wondered about that transfer process and the possibility of keeping things

Yes, when you do the transfer, any NNID that you created will be deleted from the system, as the system can only handle one at a time. All the demoes you downloaded will be gone, but the pre-installed Majora's Mask will be available to redownload.

When you do a system transfer between 2 3DS's, the two systems will be merged together.

But only if the system you're transferring to does not have a NNID created on it!!

You will lose your MM save game if you transfer. It can't be avoided.
