Default long usb charing cable

Hello guys, how is it going? xD
I have a question in regards of USB charging cable for the New 3DS.
At the moment I have a 3DS XL with a Nintendo AC charger. I'm planning to buy the New 3DS and I will need another charger (my wife is using the 3DS and she will keep using the only charger we have).
Instead of buying another AC adapter I was considering the idea of purchasing a USB charging cable (for several reasons) but I'm looking for a reasonably long cable.
The problem is that I can only find "short" cables! The longest one I could find is this one:
http://www.amazon.com/CPTCAM-Premium...peed+usb+cable
but I would like something possibly longer (about 2 meters or more).
Any suggestions?
(I live in the US so any online shop that sells in US would be good!)
Thank you

If you can't find any longer USB charging cable, you could purchase the one you found and a USB extension cable. That'd do the trick Bear in mind that charging might be slower when using a USB cable instead of charger.

Thank you!
I will probably do that and get an extension, if needed.
Also, I know that USB charging is slow of actually plugged into a USB slot but, if I use a power plug adapter it should charge much faster, right? In this regards, do I need any special extension cable or not? (I don't want the extension to slow down the charging while plugged into the wall)

The charging time should remain the same with a power plug adapter. As for the cable, I'm not sure if you'd need a special one, I believe a standard one should work. Search around a bit as I might not be correct on this.

The extension cable will slow down charging. How much depends on the quality of the cable and its length. If you use a small extension cable the charging rate won't drop by too much. This is exactly the reason you can't find long cables intended for charging devices.

I hope I helped. I can't really help you any further so you might want to google a bit and look at a more technical forum. The best solution is still to buy an official charger, less to worry about, guaranteed to work Though yes, the cable on those is so damn short :/

Thank you
I will probably end up getting a regular charger than. It's relatively cheap and it's longer than any usb I can find.
