I just recently purchased a 3DS from ebay with like 7 games on it. What i didn't know is that if i remove the prior owner's nintendo ID, it deletes the games they have purchased through their ID. Now this made me very upset because 1) I have already began playing the games. 2) This would mean i would have to re-purchase the games on top of what i paid for the 3DS (which the price probably went up in the first place because of the games on it...) and 3) Replay EVERYTHING.

Now my question is... is there a way to store the software itself, on an SD card / laptop, with or without the saved data, and format the ds?? I DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE THE GAMES. Thanks guys

nope the games are all tied to your nintendo network id, youd either have to stick with their NNID or rebuy the games on your own NNID
you can only keep save data on the sd card
