Hello People of the Forum,
I just bought the New Nintendo 3DS XL a few months ago. This is the first DS I have owned since the very first one that ever came out. I had no idea there was such a thing called "Region Lock." The problem is, I am moving to the UK in a few months. (I currently live in North America). I think it is ridiculous that I will have to buy ANOTHER 3DS just to play new games when I am in the UK. The reason why I bought one here before moving was because to buy a 3DS in UK is way more expensive! Is there anything I can do about this? I wish I had known about region lock earlier. I would have waited until I moved to buy a new 3DS, even if it costs more. I already bought a bunch of games on this current 3DS... If you have answers for me, THANK YOU! If you don't, thank you anyway! |

Depends on your stuation, that is if you will be living in the UK temporary or permanently.
If you are gonna be there temporary, your best solution will to to just import games until you go back to the US. But if you gonna be living in the UK permanently, you might as well consider getting a EU N3DS. |

You don't play alotmofmgames? Isn't that the entire purpose of having a 3ds?
This is he second thread I have read tonight about region locks. Does that mean that you can't buy games in England or wherever and play them on a USA 3ds? That's a shame, it would be fun while traveling to look for different games. |
