Hello all!

Forgive me if this is an incredibly newbish question, but...I've been wondering, is it possible to remove the region lock on a new 3DS? In a manner similar to, say-- jailbreaking on an iOS device?

I've seen/heard whispers of this being possible on the older 3DS's, and was really hoping I could somehow import an AU/EU standard sized 3DS, and somehow manage to play North American games on it. Has anyone heard of this?

Also, on a semi-related note: has anyone heard any murmurs of if/when the regular New 3DS might possibly come to America? I haven't had a Nintendo portable in AGES, and was really looking forward to getting the new 3DS upon release, only to find we're stuck with the XL version. Lame.
