Default Dragon Age General Discussion Thread

I've been playing through Dragon Age: Inquisition (but I haven't played the first 2 games. Didn't realize the games were so inter-connected. Whoops.)

I like running around, exploring, and completing side-quests. I made my character an elf that resembles me.

Lover: Cullen
Wingman: Dorian
Pet: Cole
Mom: Cassandra

Current Progress:

I've grown to really like this game and I'm so sad the trespasser DLC isn't coming to PS3. :/

Thank you for replying!!!

All that's left is the final mission. But I've been putting it off in order to complete the side missions but now that I've finished them all I guess I have no choice but to take out the final boss.

How far are you?

I'm at that event with the Empress... Celene was it? I'm just going around talking to my party members. I don't like that respect meter that goes down for the dumbest reasons.

That quest was a pain in the ass.

Who are your favorite characters?

I thought no one would ever ask!! I LOVE Dorian, Vivienne, I'm sure I'd love Sera if I used her more, same with Solas... Josephine's pretty cool, Lelliana's pretty cool too... You?

Dorian is definitely great. My inquisitor is female and I enjoy having him as my bro.

Vivienne has hilarious interactions with Iron Bull and Sera. I always like having her in a party with either one of them.

I like Cole as a character but for some reason he's never been too effective as an actual fighter for me. He also has funny interactions with the other characters.

I didn't really get into Cole's character, he was really odd compared to the others, does he ever learn to get along with Viv? I know she really wanted him gone...

She gets better around him but never quite warms up.

I hope subsequent games allows for more options to help members of your party get along with one another.

Finished the game finally.

Loved it. I'm going to go back and play the first two games now.

A good friend of mine wanted to do an in-depth roleplay of this game so I bought Origins and Inquisition so I could better understand/know it enough to participate. I really loved the characters of Origins but the battle system was SO tedious. I?d get so bored during battles. By the end I?d go through fights with one hand on the controller and be doing other stuff ? only really paying attention during dialogue and cutscenes. Some of the quests felt super grindy. I also played a Dwarf in Origins because Elves and Humans seemed like the typical choice that everyone made. There were definitely times I felt punished for choosing a not-so popular race which was a shame because the dwarves are really awesome in their own right. In Inquisition that feeling was x2 as I started as a Quinari and then re-started when I found out my romantic options were narrowed down to essentially 2 if I didn?t want a homosexual partner. I wish they?d improve upon that if they ever do more titles.

In Inquisition the battle system is SO much better. So far it just feels smoother like peanut butter over bread while Origins felt like cold stiff butter being slapped over cold biscuits. I?m not very far into it, but I like it a lot better thus far.
I made an Elf for my second game slot and Solas and I are buddies but Cullen is definitely a cutie. Cass just makes me laugh with her *****y-commander-mom stance on everything. I?ll post up when I have a more coherent opinion of it.
