Let the infinite fires of your jealousy power South Korea forever, North Americans, because even Lesser Korea is getting the New Nintendo 3DS vanilla. And with super special awesome cover plates too!




Just look at that gorgeous classic Mario artwork. Doesn't it just make you want to buy it? The 3DS, which comes with a copy of Super Mario Bros. preinstalled, will launch in South Korea on September 10th.

For perspective, South Korea didn't get the 3DS until April 28, 2012- more than a year after NA got it.

(South Korea has some very strict laws regarding products from Japan- particularly media.)

Korea is its own region, unfortunately. No North American N3DS for us.

I don't really see what's so great about these cover plates, they're pretty basic/generic looking. There are a lot more awesome ones out there.

Us NA people may not upset about these faceplates in particular, but what we are upset about is not even having the option to have faceplates without importing

Sadly this is the exception rather than the rule. But if a US region N3DS does appear that will be big news for us.

Added after 9 minutes:

Looking at the listing this 3DS XL was actually manufactured for Malayasia/Singapore/UAE who have always shared the NA region. Too bad for any Korean release hopes.
