Today at a GameStop conference it was confirmed that the Standard New Nintendo 3DS will be coming to North America in a bundle with Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer. This comes after months of fans begging NOA to release the standard version of the system in NA. The bundle will retail for $219.99 and will come with the system, a digital copy of AC HHD, two different cover plate sets and a Amiibo card. Oh wow, did not think I would ever see this happen. I'm sure they'll release the standard N3DS without the bundle soon enough, now that this will soon be available. Even though I love AC, not really interested in HHD, and I was planning on buying a new XL eventually anyways, but now I might think it over again. Great news!

Awesome. I already have a New Nintendo 3DS XL, and part of me is a little annoyed since I originally wanted to get the regular sized one, but I'm glad for those who want to jump on the 3DS bandwagon and didn't because this wasn't available.

I keep seeing people freaking out and asking Europeans for their basic faceplates as if Nintendo won't release the standalone version sometime later so let me just make a small PSA. Nintendo is totally gonna release a standalone version in NA. Just wait a bit.

Probably. You could probably even make your own faceplates if you had the right tools.

I think the Splatoon cover plates look really good, I want to get them. I'm actually considering selling my New 3DS XL for a standard New 3DS. I don't really care too much about losing the bigger screens and I don't play much 3DS these days anyway.
