I have gained most of my tiles by swapping between two 3DS (an original and a XL). But I have run into trouble on Tomodachi Life Friendship Fiesta. I thought it was perhaps because I picked this puzzle up from another system via hotspot, but that hasn't presented any issues before. I cannot swap pieces on this puzzle, when I pair consoles it just reads: ' It seems they don't have any new peices for you'. So .. a nearly completed puzzle on the 3DSXL that I cannot swap to the original 3DS, why won't it let me swap? The systems continue to swap other individual tiles for other puzzles perfectly, the issue is with Tomodachi Life Friendship only. Any insight please?

Do both systems have the latest update?

So only one 3DS has the Tomodachi puzzle?

You should be able to get the puzzle on your other device. It won't be named anything until you get the first piece. You need the latest update on both of your 3DS's though, otherwise the puzzle won't be on both systems. Puzzle Swap doesn't actually download the tile to the other person, it simply unlocks part of the puzzle already on your system, so you need the latest update on both, and not just the latest system update, but also the latest update to the Streetpass Mii Plaza itself (obtainable by going all the way to the left on the first menu in the plaza)

Having trouble remembering how puzzle swap works, been a year since I last used it.

I thought - if the one console gains a new puzzle, you could easily pick that new puzzle up using another? So I'm wrong in that respect?

I have tried updating the small original console, I've gone through all the notifications to see if there were any I missed, I can't figure this out. I suppose if I understand you correctly, I have to just wait until the console without decides to offer me Tomodachi Life Friendship Fiesta?

I'm sure I've picked up totally new puzzles before that weren't registered on one of the consoles. This is where I'm kinda hazy.

I used to do the same thing before I got up-to-date with my puzzle pieces. I've even taken 3 or 4 3DS out with me for Streetpasses before, hahaha.

I had a similar problem with one of my 3DS, and it turns out that you have to enable SpotPass for Streetpass Mii Plaza. I'm fairly sure it's on the settings inside the Mii Plaza.

Give it a shot. Once activated, after a bit of time, it should beep blue and let you know a new Puzzle Piece is available.

As long as you're on the latest update you can get it from the other system, even if that puzzle hasn't been presented to you via SpotPass yet

If Spotpass is not enabled for Streetpass Mii Plaza, you will not see any new panels even if you know they should be there.
