gonna try it out cuz the battle system was the only thing putting me off. let's see if playing it myself changes my mind

*played the demo. The game looks great and the music is pleasant. But I'm still not liking the battle system. I'm not a fan of being unable to control my attacks other than 'ultimate' attacks. Maybe pokemon has spoiled me.

One of the most interesting, but small things I noticed was that your house has 2 bathrooms, one of which is a half bath and that just amazed me for some reason because in these type of games you never see bathrooms. There are a lot of small details in the world. And when you leave the house your shoes get put on like that's pretty neat yo. I also love the art/graphics when you are looking close at a specific area/spot.

The battle system just takes some getting used to. I actually think not being able to control exactly what's happening makes it a bit more challenging. You have to be real quick with the special attacks and know when to change your Yokai around.

Apparently the full game battle system is better since each Yokai has 3 moves and you can see what moves each one prefers as opposed to the demo.

I also read on the official website that you can persuade Yokai to join you by bribing them with treats. SMT style, yall!

The first thing I noticed in the demo was 'holy crap theres a bathroom? and my parents have a bedroom?' and then my fiance told me about the shoes on the matt. That is really cool. Loved it and can't wait for friday!

I played the demo for over an hour (one quick run-through and then a slower, more exploratory one) and I think my curiosity is satisfied. I'm really more into direct battle, not turn-based or whatever this one is.

Agree with this. Liked the graphics, but just not a fan of the combat. Guess I prefer Pok?mon, though I haven't played those for a while.
