Halloween is quickly approaching so let's share some weird, unexplained, and/or scary stories, events, legends etc. that we've found.

One of my favorites is the Bloop.

My favorite commercial Holiday.

One time, while me and some homies were trick or treating, we ran behind someone's house as we were playing doorbell ditching games. Things got really quiet and I turned around and saw a floating giant black square that quickly disappeared into thin air. It looked like a video game manifestation. I screamed and my friends screamed and no one could explain what we saw.

So now I'm afraid of giant black squares.

When I was in 4th grade, the school my mom worked in was old and going to be demolished soon. I would hang out there after school most days and it got more and more empty throughout a couple months. Nothing spooky actually happened but it was a crazy spooky feeling exploring around there with my brother when the power was finally cut. Didn't help that the school was connected to a church either.

I have a weird/freaky Halloween story that I don't tell much, still kind of freaks me out to this day, but it was still cool in a really creepy sort of way. I can't remember if it was 10 or 11 years ago, anyway I was either 13 or 14 at the time, and it was exactly around this time of the year. The department stores had their Halloween **** out, and 2 of my friends and I were in the board games section in Zellers. This was back when I was going through my dark, creepy, gothic phase, so we saw Ouija boards in the board games section (yes, I know, what the ****, hahahaha. Like they sell these things to kids??), they must have been out for Halloween. Naturally, we bought one, hahahahaha good times, not. We took it back to my place, my mom wasn't home so we set it up in the living room.

My one friend was weird and dark, and she knew how to initiate the ritual/thing. We all put our index fingers on the slider, lightly touching it and said together "Ouija are you with us". The slider like, barely scraped a cm the first couple tries. Eventually, it started moving, so we were asking it questions. The other friend who was with us was convinced that me and my creepy friend were moving the slider, he did not believe for a second during the entire experience that this was happening for real. Anyways we were asking this thing questions and the slider started moving kind of fast so we decided to ask it to give us a sign that it was real, so a couple minutes later we're still playing and asking questions and the stereo in my bedroom turned on and started playing music by itself, we didn't really think much of it because technology is weird. We weren't too freaked out so we turned off the stereo and kept playing.

So anyways, we asked it to give us another sign so we're playing some more and my creepy friend's phone starts ringing, it's the ring tone for her dad who she has a bad relationship with, so she tells us to shut up and goes to answer it. This was back when everyone had the flip phones with the little screen on the front to show the time and caller ID. Anyway she doesn't open the phone, she just shows me the caller ID and the ****ING SCREEN SAYS OUIJA ON IT. I **** you not, this sounds 100% made up but it's not. When she went to answer, it was as if someone had hung up. Anyway, my 3rd friend who was skeptical the entire time did not have time to see the caller ID, which we asked the board why it didn't let him see it too, and it said because he didn't believe. Creepy.

Anyways, the thing started getting really aggressive/kind of violent, calling my creepy friend a ***** and saying it was going to kill her and ****. I made it apologize, hahahaha. Anyways, the ritual thing ended with my mom coming home unexpectedly and seeing us 3 playing with the Ouija board in the living room.

Yeah, I was a weird kid, haha. We ended up burning the board in a back alley the very same day.

Here's a scary story for kev:

Quote:
Veronica is spending the weekend on the beach to relax from her uptight New York life. The last thing she needs is to become way to involved with a hot fling, but when she's saved by the hot lifeguard Finn, he seems almost impossible to resist. Veronica better be careful or she may end her vacation with a wereshark's baby in her fertile belly.

I have a story! I wasn't present but my mother is not one to make this sort of thing up.

I was gone at school and at the time my mother only had one other kid, my brother E we'll call him, and he was still taking naps during the day. He was probably 3 which would make me 11 at the time of this happening. My mother gets frightened pretty easily so we always kept our windows shut and locked and she always gets deadbolts installed on the front and back doors of her homes. I'd get dropped off down the road by our carpool after school and walk home.

So it was getting close to the time where I'd normally come home. E is down for a nap upstairs. He'd been having trouble with getting up when he wasn't supposed to so my mom would lock the door to his bedroom when he was napping as he wasn't dexterous enough to undo the lock and she always had the unlocking mechanism with her (that paperclip looking doo-dad).

The house was two stories and the front door opens into a hardwood landing that splits in three directions. To the left is the living room, the right is the dining room, and straight ahead is the stairs. Once up the stairs you'd have to turn left and walk down two lengths of hall to get to E's room - all in all about a minute walk if you know where you're headed from front door to E's room.

My mom is sitting in the living room. You can't see the front door from where we had the furniture set up. She hears a knock at the front door. She thinks it's me, starts to get up when she notices it's way too soon to expect me, and then hears the door open slowly with the giveaway whine.

It had been locked, deadbolt included.

She says my name and then comes around the corner. No one is there. But she hears footsteps above her in the hall and then E starts screaming from his bedroom. My mum said she'd never run up the stairs so fast in her life. She round the corner of the hall and the previously locked door to my brother's room is also standing wide open. All he would say is "Man, man. Big man".

She grabs him out of bed and runs back downstairs to get the phone.

The front door is closed and the deadbolt is drawn back into place.

To this day she gets white in the face when she talks about it.

That's freaky. Good story! Too bad your brother was too young to be able to really remember what happened.
