Hello forum,

So my card reader wouldn't read games on my 3DS XL, so I changed it and soldered successfully a new one to the board, but in doing so, lifted the solder pads (see image before I did it) clean off and now the DS will read the game slot (win) but I have a black top screen and can see the led back light lighting it.


The games play fine and the lower screen is fine also.

I never touched the screen cable, but did lift the solder pads which I thought just held the game slot in place.

Do I need to bypass this on the board to complete the circuit or should k start by looking elsewhere?

How important are these solder plates?
