Default Analog stick shot?

Had my new 3DS XL for about a month and its a great system however I think my analog stick is shot. The stick will get stuck in the upper right hand side of the circle, and sometimes wont respond at all. I noticed that the analog stick will spin while centered to the right and click like its skipping over something in the inner track. Does anyone else have this issue?

Check to see if there's any dirt or lint stuck in between the empty space around the circle pad. Same thing happened to me once but it was just a little piece of crud stuck in between. If there's nothing then it's your circle pad. The things are nowhere near as sturdy as a real joystick. Good news is that since it's newish you should still be under warranty and Ninty should fix it free of charge.

I had it on my new 3DS XL as well, almost right out of the box. I was able to swap it out since it was still in the return window with Best Buy. I'd contact Nintendo for warranty work if you are outside the return window from wherever you bought it.
