Okay so I dropped my DS PRETTY hard and The right Corner got Broken. it looks EXACTLY like the one in this photo
i.ytimg . com/vi/nEh1BS6bOi8/maxresdefault.jpg The other side of the screen is loose, but not broken. If i pull it, I will be able to see the wires. When I try to turn it on, the blue light on the bottom right of the device will turn on for 5 seconds then turn off. The DS will not open. PLEASE help me, I don't want to take it to repairs before trying everything i could. What's wrong with it?! Is it just the screen, or something more!!!?!? I'm prepared to fix it myself |

My 3DS XL broke in the same way, except that it still works.
One thing you could try, though I doubt it will work is booting the 3DS in recovery mode by holding A+R+L+Up(DPad) when turning it on. If I had to guess, one of the ribbon cables in the 3DS got loose from the impact. iFixit has a lot of guides on how to disassemble a 3DS, though it sounds pretty hard to me. Here's one: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo...lacement/25070 Also this: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/...t+won%27t+boot
