EVs are simple, especially after people post EV spreads for whatever role the pokemon takes up. It's the IVs which cause problems for people. Coupled with the fact that a beneficial nature is required for maximum effectiveness, it gets frustrating, leading to the use of cheating devices.
A lot of gamers perceive high level gameplay as nothing more than Hyper Beam spamming with legendaries, which may also explain why the game is often undermined. |

At first.
I usually store something with pokerus in the PC, to "infect" who I want. Plus, the new training items from D/P/Ptt speed things up. But if you have a huge party to train, then it does get pretty boring. :/ |

Pok?mon's pretty awesome. Can't wait for Black and White. ^_^
I only have one Lvl. 100 and one Shiny. Lvl. 100 Blaziken from all the way back when Ruby was new, and a shiny Zigzagoon. As for EV training, I do it sometimes, then take a break and lose the paper I was keeping track of the EVs on. I don't even bother with IVs :\ then again, the most competitive play I do is against my brother or best friend. I got HeartGold when it first came out, didn't beat the Elite 4 until July, and i have yet to actually beat Red. Lastly, I constantly feel out of place in my Grade. All of them are either shouting random Modern Warfare 2 lines or battling 360 vs. PS3. Needless to say, Pok?mon is completely not "in". Think that covers my stand on everything discussed so far. |

EVs and IVs are something you should search up yourself imo. Some sites have lengthy articles explaining every detail . But to sum it up:
EVs are values gained through battle experience and IVs are predetermined values. Generally, the higher the value, the stronger the pokemon's stats become. Gamefreak set a limit on the EVs though, so that one pokemon could only carry 510 EVs with a max of 255 per stat. IVs are also used to determine Hidden Power values such as its type and power. The reason we're "too old" for Pokemon, is because of that stupid TV series. I've seen episodes of it before, and it's made for like a four year old. Everyones constantly happy, and it's freakin' ridicolous. Paul may be a jerk, but I like him the most, because he's not stupid.

I don't see an MMO happening anytime soon, simply because hundreds of petitions have been sent directly to Gamefreak with no positive results.
Anyway, the gym leaders have been leaked. I was surprised to find out who the 8th gym leader is. The 6th one, I thought, was rather purtty. :3 |

Man, I really want to play my Diamond again but my DS broke because I was stupid enough to lend to a friend who's DS was broken... now my DS is practically broken too x_X. L/R button barely, if ever, work at all, everything is all scratched up and the hinges are barely hanging on. I'm amazed it's still alive.
But I can't play several games fully without the L/R button and a broken screen :< so I hope that the 3DS comes out before Black/White come out in America |

All gens were really good actually. Generation II just gets it's popularity from nostalgia, while generation III is bashed for being in Hoenn and having unpopular pokemon designs.
Emerald will always be in my top 3 though. |

I just didn't like having to surf through half the game in Ruby. I'll admit that Dive was a cool new feature though, and I'm glad that it's returning. Other than that, the game was more challenging than Diamond/Pearl in terms of trainer battles.
Plus, Emerald's Battle Frontier > all other Battle Frontiers. |

See here, Pearl would have been better if for a few things:
- Snow/Hail - Seriously, being realistic is cool, but also super annoying. Having to commit half an hour to walk up to the 7th gym was a pain. - Better battles - I thought everything was too easy, especially if Chimchar was your starter - Not a lot of new pokemon - Most of that gen was made up of new evolutions, many of them looking somewhat ugly (I'm looking at you Electivire) |
