I agree with the visuals being stunning and one of the most impressive looking Wii U games shown so far. Mario Kart 8 looks absolutely amazing and feels like the game Mario Kart 7 should have aimed to be more like. Once I get this, I highly doubt I'll ever consider playing Mario Kart 7 again.

Assuming they will, I wonder how they will in incorporate the anti-gravity into the Retro courses.

As for new/returning characters, please no Honey Queen, no Wiggler and no Metal Mario. I hope they bring back Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr. and Donkey Kong Jr. Would be kinda cool to have him back since he was in the original Mario Kart.

Recovery from a pit/water is VERY fast. Lakitu zooms over you, hooks you, and zooms you right back to track, no fade out or anything.

Have any levels been shown with anti-gravity completely upside-down?

New Luigi's Mansion track looks cool. Damn, look how high Waluigi is. Looks like he's forgotten about the race and is flying to the Moon instead. xD

The kart and bike wheels remind me of Tron a little when they go into anti-gravity mode.

I wonder how the The combination of antigravity and gliding will work together. Like it seems like if you master techniques, it could be just gamebreaking in some ways.

That makes me think of the possibilities there could be on RRR. Maybe have parts that are galaxy style, on planets and other stuff.

I remember buying an Xbox360 only to play halo and it's one of my favorite games to this day but like anyone who does this your gonna want another game at some point. The Wii U will have great games this time around and it will be even better than Wii's library imo. If anything X, smash bros Wii U, and Mario kart 8 are my must buy titles for Wii U atm.

I figured they'd put the best tracks (imo) of mk7 in this. The design of the new tracks is okay so far, but I expect more for the star & special cup tracks.

Dunno if anyone's interested that Mario Kart 8 has a limited edition bundle that comes with a blue shell statue type figure.

Only confirmed for Europe and Australia. Dunno about North America.

I am not one bit excited for Mario Kart anymore unfortunately. Its been diluted too much IMO for ease of use and really doesn't have a fun aspect to it anymore. Double Dash was the last fun Mario Kart for me.
