Default my first review: fable 3

now I know this is not the place for Xbox, but It is the first game I have beaten in a while. so I started playing mid january and finished early february now your first thing in your mind right now is probably "that is such a short game" well I played in long periods of time about 7 to 9 hours at a time in about 12 playthroughs because it dose a fantastic job at keeping you in the game world with good uses of exploration, combat, and story which I will go over in this review

Exploration: there is a very vast world in the game called Albion, it is huge but it is not meant for exploration but it is at the same time. in the game the paths are in forests, mountains, caves, and later on a desert mainly it is not good for exploration because the paths don't allow you to go all over the place it is like a wide corridor or a hallway but in an outside setting which can be irritable in an open world rpg if you want a rpg with out halls get skyrim. but where the exploration get's you the treasure hunting you have a pet dog you can level up in categories like aggression where he attacks more, exploration where he finds more treasure, and charisma which I don't know what it does because I can't level him up in it. you will constantly find treasure chests and buried items in nooks and crannies away from your direct path but it is a shame because in places like the mountains of mistpeak there are a lot of branching paths with no treasure but they make it worse by adding a light trail telling you where have to go which subconsciously tells you to stop exploring and follow it but it is not all hallways there are places like mistpeak valley which will take a long time to fully explore. over all score for exploration 7.25/10 there are hall way setups but endless treasure make up for it.

Combat: fairly fun there is one button for sword attacks one button for magic as well as a button for guns there are two types of each weapon with swords there is a hammer and a sword and for guns a rifle and a pistol magic there is a circle of attack surrounding you or you can shoot your magic at an enemy. Although the mains problems with combat I will list below 1:it consists of mashing any of the buttons 2: I found my self able to kill two out of four enemy's with a pistol before they could even get close. 3 in times of desperation I spamed my magic circle so that enemys couldn't get close but this doesn't happen too often.4:combat is way to easy you can face 9 enemy's at once and that would be fine plus It is disappointing that the final boss is that easy a neat thing about the weapons is that they change on what you do with them my hero's sword got a handle made of bones for killing a lot of hollow men or skeletons. but you can do things with the weapons to add status changes like a gun where you kill 8 people you love with it and you lose more weight. over all combat score 9 out of ten to easy and resorts to mashing but is fun and the changes and challenges the weapons give you are fun.

story I will put the juicy parts in spoilers the game starts with a prince of a tyrant leader who is your brother your father was the hero of Albion long ago but there are no more heros as their once were but when you brother
Spoiler!
you set out on your journey to become a hero you go from the poverty filled city's to the rich peoples land gaining followers for your army to over throw your brother you have almost fulfilled your quest when you appear on a cursed desert that will
Spoiler!
the ending was good in my opinion but then I got depressed because I realized
Spoiler!
overall story score 9.25/10 a very good plot

over all comments It is a good game with lots to do It might not last you a long time and combat is a bit easy it has things not mentioned in this review such as buying business for income getting married having sex hiring hookers and more exploration is not good but it is not a bad game despite what others say this was my first fable and it is said to be the worst in the series so if this game was this good I want to try the others.

Don't be fooled sir, this game was soo short, the ending was horrible, the final boss took 15 seconds and i found no reply value in it nor did any of my friends

It's like the last boss is a giant block of jelly, and they just hand you the spoon, THEY JUST HAND IT TO YOU

Well I for one liked this game. Not as good story/gameplay wise as the original but still a pretty fun game.

Very nice review.

thanks and I thought I mentioned it was too easy maybe I forgot? but it is and the final boss is like the tutorial in terms of difficulty but it is a good game you can't deny that.

PS I might do a review of the PC games Thief: the dark project, Thief 2 (Forgot the subtitle) and Thief 3: Deadly shadows plus the free user generated content It might take a while Because I have a few questions to be answered about the game I need to wait for it to be shipped and I need to beat it which might be delayed by how many games I am currently playing and my playing habits (I sometimes *more than often* abandon games)

I despise fable 3.

Everything about it was infuriating.
HaircareForMen likes this.

Well, if I cared enough to buy an xbox, I'd get this game in a heartbeat. However, I have forever sworn not to give into the insanely expensive games, DLC, and online service.

Maybe, if Microsoft makes a handheld where all 360 games can be downloaded, I will get it, because that sounds like an awesome handheld.
