So i can't be the only one on these forums who enjoys writing poetry! In this thread share your poetry. I don't care how cheesy it is. Just make sure they follow the forum rules.

Does She Notice
( Free Verse )

A simple smile makes my head spin around, and all my sorrows

fall down to the ground

I'm not going to tell any lies..

those mysterious eyes will never cease to surprise

There's someone special in my life who doesn't know I care,

but to let her know I wouldn't dare

It's been a while since i've had this feeling, up until now my

heart had been healing

I can't explain why but it seems unreal when I gaze upon her

face, is she the key out of this dark place?


Does she notice my heart skip a beat everytime we meet?

Does she notice she knows just what to say to completely make my day?


...What is it about her that makes me so nervous? ...

This feeling is a first and when she stares at me it's even worse

...What is it about her that captivates me so?...

She's got my heart on a string and it makes me want to sing


I've fallen for you it's true, so give me a clue.. tell me why I have a crush on you

Will you ever see me in the same way? I don't know, but for now i'll pray..

until the day I have the right words to say

Here's part my poem. It's not my best, but it's decent enough.

Little Ruffie
Quickly and silently through the forest she creeps,
Not stopping for anything, even a quick drink,
Across the forest floor, her monogamy tail sweeps,
Sorrow clouded her heart, tears stream as she blinks.
She paused for a moment, tried not to look back,
Poor little pup! All tired, alone, and sad.
Her week little body mourn for her pack,
For her family mostly, Mom and Dad.

This part also has a second meaning. It's about losing love ones. About how we run away and shove away our feelings of depression.

Woffie
Meanwhile a yearling watch from afar,
A loner himself, seeking a friend,
He wished one upon a glistening star,
Gracefully he rose up from his den,
His white fur shone against moonlight,
He tried to recall his dark past,
He sighed, than went into the night,
Sneaking slowly, not too fast,

This part means that, even though we lost a love one; There's always another one who still is there for us.

I have a couple of depressing angsty middle school poems floating around.

A year ago I wrote an awesome one but I've lost it. It wasn't depressing or angsty.

Awwww. Haha i wrote poems for m first girlfriend. Most of my poems are love poems, i get the most inspiration writing those.

Wow that was pretty good! And i bet it an only get better. Can't wait to read the finished product!

Let's hear the angsty ones! Teenage angst!!

And i know how it is to lose a poem. I've lost at least 3. And its never the same if you try and rewrite it.

The problem with people and poetry is they just do it in school and never try it again. A lot of people have a decent amount of talent. They're just unaware it exists.

The World of Tomorrow

All the forests burnt down to ash
All grand animals killed for cash
All the air bad to breathe
All the people moved to grieve
All the rivers once flowing now dry
All the population are soon to die
All the shining stars blocked up by fog
All resources used to the very last log
All food gone, no one can eat
All mankind curling up in defeat
All the people crying out in great sorrow
If things aren't changed it’s the world of tomorrow

Nice one Zuperman! A very sobering look at the future. What grade did you get on it?

Also going along with sort of the same theme...


Faulty Emotions:

They say love is blind. That when we fall

in love we don't notice their imperfections

and their little quirks. If this is true, then

tell me... why aren't we forever with the

first love we find?


Sight is but indecisive judgement as

arbitary as am i to truth. Intrepid

emotions of addiction controls what

obscure signs of the heart. Trying to

supress this addiction will only tear me

apart. Utterly alone in isolated intelect,

yet in darkness lies my mind. Never have

i been in a state of indecision of this kind


My life through unclouded eyes is a

tomb...no...a mausoleum of emotions. A

steadily increasing beat, these faulty

emotions are like an epinephrine


Why must not your inner-thoughts

hopelessly fall prey to truth? Maybe it's

because sometimes we insist on living a

lie. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.

The truth can hurt...the feeling of

betrayal is so over-whelming kinda like

Judas' kiss


But sometimes the truth is exactly what

we need. A good slap in the face.. a

reality check. Go on and find it, you'll be

doing yourself a good deed....


And still the same question remains...

"Why aren't we forever with the first love

we find?"


Because love is unpredictable, its

sometimes contradicting. The more love

you want the more love you must give

away. And if it's all for nothing then that's

the price you pay.


We all want to be loved and yet love can

only be ours if we give it to others. Love

cannot be posssesed, it cannot be

controlled, nor manipulated. It defies all

rules and limitations. Some people might

go as far and say " It's not worth it,.. it's

over-rated"


I'm not sure where i stand. Love seems

so close, yet so far away

Is love really a faulty emotion?

I think about it everyday

Who really knows for sure about these

things...time will only tell..what the future

brings
