You are able to make something good in FL Studio. Congrats!

I'm still trying to make either UK Hardcore, Hardstyle, Dubstep/Brostep and/or fusions of these genres with FL Studio, VSTs and sample packs here. I hope I can make something this year.

Reaper seems to be getting pretty popular.

I use guitar pro to mix and arrange songs. Export the drum tracks as midi and import into FL or Cubase. Though with the new GP 6, I can just export the drum track as a wav and mix with audacity.

I use audacity to record and mix a track. It's a bit basic, and not really for creating music. For me, it has the least lag and easiest interface.

Here is my latest track I've done.

Cuda Cover - Macross 7 - Fire Bomber - Submarine Street.mp3

It's a cover of a Macross 7, Fire Bomber song. Submarine Street. Just lacks a vocal track and Yoshiki fu-kuyama super solos. Haha.guess the name got filtered.I used audacity to record, just exported the drum and bass from GP6.

Audacity, some friends, some hip hop instrumentals, and some cheap booze. Somehow our flows always sound absolutely horrible the next day though

I use Cubase with a minimal number of good VST instruments and effects. In terms of hardware I use an Access Virus TI Snow, Roland Juno 106 (first analog synth with MIDI), Korg Prophecy and Korg Electribe ES Mark 1. And I dick around with sampling my Korg Monotron.

For live percussion I use my Roland HPD15 and Roland HD1 Vdrums.

But quite frankly I don't make a lot of music anymore. I can't find the time and patience lately.

Rytmik, cause I'm a boss.

the Magix Music Maker is also a really nice program. You don't have to know a thing about music (aside from what sounds good and what doesn't), and you just drag and drop clips into places

I use FLStudio, YMCK's magical8bitplug VST, and some NES soundfont and a MegaDrive/Genesis soundfont I found on YouTube.

Of course, that's only because I like making retro stuff. Here's some demos:
Densetsu - Midday Melancholy - YouTube
Densetsu - Abnormal Normality - YouTube

I use famitracker. Probably not what you'd want to use though.

Right now I'm downloading Garage Band on my iPod. So there's that.
What I'd suggest is FL studio like everyone else. Personally I'm terrible at it but people can create amazing things out of it.
