Same here! But A Link To The Past is #1! I wish Nintendo will release a Virtual Console version of it.

Being a carbon copy of LttP's plot is one reason.

I grew up with Sony's PlayStation and as a result never had the chance to play many of the masterpieces Nintendo has created over time, but now I'm making up for it. Last year I played Ocarina of Time for the first time and loved it so much that I bought it's 3D remake a few months later. I absolutely loved both, and still continue to play them somewhat often even today.

Ocarina was kinda supposed to be a remake/reimagining of LttP, no doubt. Although in terms of light world/dark world there weren't many similarities.

Now if Hyrule Field had been filled with skulls and bomb throwing ogres and monsters then that would be a different story.

And I support a LttP remake to an extent, as long as it retained the charm and design of the original. And what I mean by that is staying true to the original concepts of the game, IE pre Ocarina of Time Zelda.

Just check out some of these designs and ideas, they've got that great old school vibe.

That's what I'd want to see a LttP remake do. Go back to their roots a little bit. Zelda used to borrow a LOT from euro medieval style along with undoubtedly some Tolkien inspiration.

Hyrule field full of enemy soldiers looking for you, the dark world filled with all kinds of foreboding monsters, REAL open world exploration (something I think Zelda has lost), valuable items hidden throughout the world and not just in dungeons (the bombs, ice rod, zora's flippers, magic powder, the medallions, the canes, etc. are all great examples.)

I love Zelda but I think they need to go back to what made the first games so amazing. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, while great, were far too linear for my taste.
Swordmaster229, Sepharos and Edge like this.

I've been wanting this for years.
I'm really not a fan of the post-OoT Hyrule. LttP had my favorite iteration of the kingdom to this day.
