clearly since the entire species went extinct in the child timeline which is probable thanks to the death of the deku tree in some way since the supposedly died if they ever left the forest, which leads to my understanding that they're seedlings that sprouts from the deku tree and are kept alive by the force it exerts on the forest, which they can live without for years but eventually need again

Now sit around me my children, let me tell you a story, one about a Legend that involves children who never grew. There are four races in Zelda excluding the Hylian acourding to Zelda philosophy. The first one is the Forest race, the one who evolves. The Mountain race, the one who stay the same always. The Water race, the one that adapts. And most important the Spirit race, that extints with time. While the Zoras have been known to adapt to Sweet water and sea water, they are also capable of evolving into the Rito (flying race) if it becomes neccesary. The Gorons stay firm and never evolve or change so you'll meet them from Skyward to Twilight, to Phantom Hourglass. Weird right? Well the Forest creatures are known to change often, such as Kikwis, Kokiris, Minish even Dekus could enter in this. So it's very posible that they evolved from Minish and these from Kikwis, but as always, just a posibility. And Kikwis? Well it's posible that they were the origin Fafore. Now, the idea? The idea came from the old fairy tale: Peter Pan. Peter Pan was a young boy wearing green and having a fairy as a assistant as always. And while being in Never Land, he was incapable of growing up. Just the same, the Kokiri wear green and have their own fairy to assist them. And yes, they couldn't leave the forest for if they did, they would die. But did they? At the end of the game, they were celebrating with the rest of Hyrule Link's victory. But maybe what they ment by this was that the Kokiri would die of age, just like Peter if he left Never Land. Any questions? |

Well, when a mommy Kokiri and a daddy Kokiri love each other very much... nah, they're probably spirits of some sort. like in the game, they disappear when you're far from them and appear when you approach them. it's not the draw distance. and what they meant by they would die if they left the forest was simply because of the monsters roaming Hyrule Field (peahats, stalchildren, etc.). since Ganon was sealed away, the monsters were gone.

| Actually, Miyamoto HIRED Akira Himekawa. However, he doesn't write them. He just gave them permission too. But I think it still has to go through his approval. (And my theory of the Koroks are wrong. I got actually mixed up. KOKIRI'S turned into the Koroks. My bad.)
