It's more powerful than the Master Sword, yes, but it takes both hands to use and is slower to handle.
I don't know why people would say it's overpowered.

I never use it. I like to be able to use my sword and sheild together.

i can remember from the n64 run through that you actually can use your shield relative easily even with the sword dunno how anymore.

Anyway, i think its overpowered. It hits stuff way to hard and makes things a lot more easy.

While you maybe get more dmg, dying in oot is something rare entirely.

Still the quest chain is pretty darn long, if the sword wouldn't be that much stronger then the master sword its pretty much pointless to get it i think then.

So mixed opinions about it.

I always get it but never use it. Though I may give it a try when I do the OoT3D master quest.

I wouldn't say it's overpowered since it cancels the use of a shield.

I only use it to kill Ganon when my master sword is gone

I went thru that whole sidequest i dont care if its over powered or not im using that mofo

I hardly ever used it, it didn't feel right to use the Bigoron's Sword instead of the Master Sword.
